If you think this girl is crazy - you are not alone. I have been asked many questions about this trip, and here are my answers.
If you also have a pressing question about this trip, just comment or e-mail to: rosarollt@gmail.com

Why are you biking home?
When my friend Sarah suggested I should have the main reason for this project somehwere visible on my bike so I have it present all the time, I realized: "There is no main reason. I am just excited to do it." I have to add, though, that I  definitely was inspired to go on this adventure when I read the book "Packing light" in Niece, France, in April. Also, I love France and I want to see more of this beautiful country. That's about it.

Why do people always think they need to blog once they do something new?
I don’t know.

Ok, I might have to phrase it differently: Why will you blog? Isn’t biking 1300km enough?

I just want to blog. Two of my favorite things are: sports and writing. It’s the perfect combination for me! Also, not everyone has the time, power and money to go on such an adventure. I feel abundantly blessed to have the ressources to do stuff like that. By blogging about it, I can share what I have been given and pass the blessing on; and everyone gets to be part of it. Also, I will write stories in m head along the way anyway - so it's not really extra work.

Okay, and why is your blog such an English-German mix?
There are so many people I love that don't know German. Writing some of this stuff in English is my attempt to have them be a part of it. I am very well aware of the fact that I am not perfect in English, but I also know they love me, so I know it's okay.

Are you doing this alone?
I am. Again, for no specific reason. If you want to come along, let me know ;) You will find me on the bike paths somewhere between Bidart and Heidelberg. Also, I know God is with me. And being away from everything I am used to will broaden my horizon in every way. I am so excited!

Yay, excited! That means: you are not scared?
I am very scared! Excited and scared. I know there will be many times where I will be having lots of fun - and many times when I will just be very mad at myself for coming up with ideas like that.

What’s your bike like?Steve is black and orange and it’s a tour bike. Manufactured in Hamburg, by a company called Stevens.

What’s up with your other beloved bike, Wolfi the First?
Wolfi retired. He wouldn’t have made it all the way. He finally gets to be back on the countryside, where he belongs as mountain bike. I don't think he was very happy these three yeas in Köln.

Are you going to make it?
Absolutetly yes. "To make it" for me means: „I will have a crazy adventure“. If I will bike all the way or not - I don't know yet. My goal is: To be challenged and to be in nature and to be in France and to do sports. But there aren’t any rules. If I stop, I stop.

Wait so - what now?
I want to bike all the way home. But I won’t beat myself up about it, if I won't.
