Christine - surprise friend of the year! Writing my thesis all by mself in the library, my sister Elke prayed for friend at my side. One day I forget my bike lock and ask Christine to lock my bike with hers. From then on, we chat and update each other on our thesis' - and when I heard she did a 400km bike trip by herself, I knew: Elke's prayer was answered.

Cynthia, Elli, Sarah, Izzie - my roomies of the past 4 weeks. I loved living with you, we were family. Also, I can't believe how patient you guys were with me - not only when I lost my bike keys.

Simon Baldauf und Freundin :) (und Micha Baldauf, der Vermittler) - thanks for taking my suitcase along without knowing me. Also, thank you for bringing back my bike keys 3 days later! If you know them, high-five them when you see them the next time.

Hendrik, Dani, Chris, Hoffe - without you guys, I'd be walking home. Thank you for organizing/driving my bike (and myself) up to France. I <3 Hohenloher men!

James - for explaining to me how my bike works. And talking about your friend who managed to bike without any training.
